Obé Fitness - Changed my workout & wallet

If you follow me in on Instagram Stories you might of seen a snippet of my daily OBÉ Fitness. I lived in NYC for 10yrs and watched the workout world evolve from a gym membership to amazing boutique workouts eg: Soul Cycle, Tracey Anderson, AKT in Motion, The Class - I love them all!

I moved to Orlando a year ago and was very sad to say goodbye to all my favorite workouts! I dabbled in a monthly membership at Club Pilates, 9 Rounds, Personal Training but I am very instructor based, if I find an incredible instructor with an amazing workout, music and changes it up - I am so loyal! Plus I hate Burpees, so you make me do more than 5 burpees, my eye rolling begins!

After 9 months of not loving any of my workout options in Orlando, my good friend Jenn Falik in CT introduced me to OBÉ Fitness an APP & Website with Live & On-Demand Fitness classes with amazing NYC instructors! I have never worked out on my own at home, I am generally not motivated so was apprehensive. I purchsed my ankle weights, 3ilb hand weights plus resistance bands and signed up for their 7-day trial. I use my phone to watch the workout and AirPods to listen! I was hooked, I love the choice of amazing NYC instructor plus the effectiveness of the fun workout, obé’s signature 28 minute classes fits into my busy schedule! Their music is amazing, they are so nice and motivating and a challenging workout! If I have a chubby eating day I would double up a class back to back! The best is my body started changing for the better!

If I do a LIVE class the instructor will see my name and call me out and motivate me. OBÉ Fitness has a talented team of instructors that will keep you inspired to reach your personal best and keep you coming back for more. All their Live classes are available On-Demand so you can workout with your fav instructor anytime. This is the most effective & convenient way of working out!

My favorite Obé instructors are Michelle, Walter, Mary, Meghan, Madelaine & Tiffany R.

My workout has never been so fun and reasonable. My husband is so proud of me, I used to be so dependent on boutique training. Now I have an assortments of workouts direct through their app, I workout at least 5 times a week with Obé, best is when I travel I can do it anywhere in the world!

Here is the spending Math:

Cost of Obé’ $27 per month or $199 for the Year

Cost of my previous monthly NYC workout schedule before Obe $530:

Soul Cycle x 6 = $200

Dance & strength workout = $140

Strength workout x 8 = $200

OBE TOTAL COST per month $27

Savings and still the same body $503

I highly recommend OBE Fitness, I don’t get paid by them! I only share what I’ve tried & love!

Sign up for for 7 day trial and enter code JENN30 if you decide to join your will get 30% off your monthly or yearly membership bringing it down to $19 per month or $140 for the year!

Tuesday

What did I do on a Tuesday that was new? Worked out, got stretched, got a tattoo, and had root canal.

Workout: I am obsessed with instructor Armond Jordan, I love his JoyCircuit class, it is a combination of weights, cardio and abs. The class never gets easy, he really thinks about about his workout and he is already changing my body! I love his energy and always has a good playlist! The class is around $26 when you purchase a class package.

Stretch: The Stretch is tiny after each workout and do I foam roll at home - NO!  I was recommended LYMBR so I booked a 30 min stretch through their website. It was amazing, they simply ask you your workout routine and any problem areas, Michael completely stretch we out!! My spine feels longer, my hips are always tight they feel brand new! It was incredible so my goal is to go once a week! New client introductory stretch $35 for 30mins. They have locations throughout the US, for the NYC girls their is a location in Tribeca.

Tattoo: The past 8 months I have been pining for a star design on the side of my wrist. I wanted 5 stars to represent the loves in my life: Hubby; Christopher, Kids; Olivia & Max and Dogs; Archie & Teddy. I told no one, but I was worried that I would regret doing it! I got in contact with an amazing tattoo artist Chris Fort at Big Dreams Studio Stamford. He is beyond busy and travels but so worth the wait. I sent him my inspiration photos in advance. On the day we stenciled two sizes and moved it around the side of the wrist til I was happy! Then boom ink was put one, it did not hurt and he was awesome no nonsense guy! I highly recommend him! I text Christopher a photo of the tattoo with meaning, he was in shock but loves it!! I love my tattoo!

Root Canal: Not ideal but Dr Alexandra Byrne was amazing, the nicest lady ever and huge dog lover, she has a Wheaten Terrier called Louis! Total pain free and effortless Root Canal, I even took a nap during the procedure! I was there for 2hrs, she works with your insurance. I could not recommend her enough. Your dentist might recommend someone else but insist you want to see Dr Alexander Byrne if you live in CT!

I purchased one dress from Free People because I am obsessed with their spring/summer collection! Donna Maxi Dress $98! I can't wait to receive it!

Badass Tuesday. What will Wednesday bring.....?

Favorite workout sneakers (trainers)

'Give a girl the right shoes, and she can conquer the world' said Marilyn.  I agree with Maz, I LOVE shoes and fitness. This post is about the workout sneakers recommended by me and fellow fitness lovers! Through trial and error we all found our favorite sneakers!

This post is inspired by Alison Dorfman co-owner of The Paper Alley

Running: Barbara Lincoln makes running look effortless and has many marathons under her belt. As a runner she alternates between Saucony ISO triumph and Brooks Transcend 3. She wears the ones that have 300 plus mileage for cross training once I'm done running in them.

Alison Dorfman is a recreational runner and adds interval boxing training to her workout, she loves her Hoka One One. Ali co-owns The Paper Alley offering wonderful personalized stationary.

Tennis: Jess Larit one of the most effortless, A-Team, collegiate tennis player recommends Nike Vapour 9.5 tour I recently bought the same but sadly does not improve my game!

Cross training: My Manhattan BFF loves her Asics gel kayano 20, she loves this sneaker for her workout variation of Barrys Bootcamp, Tracey Anderson & home gym. I love that she already knows her next workout sneaker is Asics gel kayano 24.

Marni Lane favorite cross trainer Nike Air Zoom Strong and for running she recommends Asics Kayano or Asics GT-2000 Marni is co-founder of PR firm Kriskey & Lane Communications.

Nadine Abramcyk co -founder of TenoverTen my favorite nail salon, loves The Class by Taryn Toomey.  Nadine really likes Nike Air Zoom Strong, because of the extra support across the top of her foot with the strap.

I love dance cardio, interval boxing training with weights.  My fav workout sneaker is the Nike Free RN Flyknit they are light and allow very natural movement. They were recommended to me by a young dancer working at Nike and I have not looked back, they come in great colors.

Nike have a collection called Nike Chrome Blush Collection, they are feminine, sporty and stylish! Each sneaker is lightweight, breathable and great stability. Perfect workout sneaker.
