A couple of newbies to my closet

Last week I bought a couple of outfits that I am love and are instant closet go-to’s!

Outfits 1: A two-piece by Free People. The outfit together is super cute, easy breezy to wear. You can do so much more with it too..I plan to wear the top with high waisted jeans or jean shorts. The skirt can be worn with a one-piece bathing suit & a plain T-shirt.

Outfit 2: Blazer by Zara, I love this bright red color! I am wearing with a Free-People graphic T-shirt & Levi Jean shorts.

Thanks for reading

Beach outfits inspo

Hi! I am so excited to share my first post with you guys!

I just finished booking my family summer vacation and am super inspired to put some cute beach outfits together. I like mixing designer pieces with fast fashion like Zara and H&M. I really think a great statement piece like a designer hangbag can elevate your whole look.

Some of the biggest trends this Spring are polka dot and lace, yellow is the color of the season. I try to incorporate them into my wardrobe so my outfits look more updated.

I hope you enjoy these looks! I had so much fun putting them together and bought a lot of these pieces myself. I will share them on INSTAGRAM later on.

xx

I adore this bow bikini! Yellow stripe bikini top $19.99 and bottom $12.00, straw hat $12.99, daisy crochet top $24.99 and white tassel sandals $69.99. This Loewe bag $390 will go with everything and pretty good price for a designer bag!

Cut out one piece $39.99, white straw hat $14.99 (the little gold coin on the hat looks just like the Melissa Odabash hat I have), polka dot skirt $69.90, black espadrilles $34.99. I love how versatile this Balenciaga bag $990 is. You can use it as a carryall on the plane and a big beach tote. I also love this Saint Laurent summer bag $1050.

There’s nothing more chic than a tan with a white bathing suit. This cute ruffle polka dot bikini top $19.99 and bottom $14.99 are so adorable. I ordered two sizes larger on this white tunic $49.99 so it gives me more length to cover my bum. The fabric is really nice and doesn’t crease easily. Hat with bow $29 and this brown sandal $59.99 looks like a pair of Ancient Greek sandals I have and it’s real leather. My dream summer bag this season - Loewe bag $850.

This is the same yellow bow bikinis but in black. The black is more sophisticated but not boring because of the bow. Bikini top $19.99 and bottom $14.99, sarong $9.99. This black lace tunic $89.99 looks a little frumpy in this photo but I would wear it with sleeves rolled up and the front open. Finish the look with a big straw hat $18.99 and leopard sandall $49.99. If you are tidy enough to rock a transparent vinyl bag this valentino $1175 is awesome.

Jumpers (sweaters) & few other things

Today is October 18 and it only feels like fall in the mornings, the rest of the day our indian summer continues. I love the warmer weather but from a fashion perspective once fall really kicks in, I know I will panic in my closet and claim I have nothing to wear! I went on a little hunt for some fall tops and here are my favs:

Closet SOS

This week I helped a friend with her closet. Janet has a big personality, loves a print and wonderful statement jewelry. A Mom of 3 young kids, like most Moms your closet is often put on the back burner.

Gone are your days pre-kids where we would shop all weekend with friends, shop during a spare moments at work and pretty much shop in your sleep!

Janet emailed me for help, this how I helped.

Closet Cleanse: I went to Janet's house and we started with a closet audit. I went through her wardrobe piece-by-piece and we discussed which cuts, colors and styles that flattered her. We had a generous bag of donations.

Post Cleanse: The same day I looked at her newly edited closet and I put together looks using what she had, bringing life back into her wardrobe. This helped us determine what pieces would fill in gaps and needed replacing.

Shopping: We determined Jacket, Jean Shorts, Tank Tops and Day Dress. I knew her budget and did a shop before I met her, then the fun started. Janet loved 90% of what I picked for her, nearly all are classics that she can dress up with jewelry.

Women especially Moms must remember they are worth it, they are worth dressing up even if they are just picking up their kids.

Never dress down, always dress up because you are worth it and are fabulous!

Here are the wardrobe fillers I chose for Janet (click on image for direct link to item):

Janet's testimonial: Genny saved so much time TIME. I feel like I have outfits to wear and new ideas, everything Genny chose was to fit my body type and lifestyle. With my new and improved closet, I immediately feel chic-er and more put together!
